Applicants are required to submit the following documents:
1) Completed application form, printed and signed.
2) Curriculum vitae
3) Copy of undergraduate degree.
4) Transcript listing all courses and grades and final average grade.
5) Graduates from foreign universities are also required to provide a copy of their degree certified by the Hellenic National Academic Recognition and Information Center (DOATAP).
6) Certificate of language proficiency in English (at least level Β2) for non-native speakers of English who are graduates of departments other than the School of English. In case they do not have a certificate of competency in a foreign language, a written examination in the English language is provided by the Special Interinstitutional Committee.
7) Certificates of attendance in seminars on Special Education.
8) Research papers, publications and distinctions (if available).
9) Other certificates, such as of a PC user, in an additional foreign language, letters of recommendation, etc.
10) Declaration form of Law number 1599/1986 signed in a KEP for its signature’s authenticity, in which the applicant will verify the validity of the presented documentation in their portfolio.
Competence in a foreign language is considered a prerequisite and it is proven either by a B2 level certificate οr by passing a written examination in the English language conducted by the Programme Special Scientific Committee.
The first stage of the candidate selection is based on the documents and certificates that each candidate presents to the Committee, while the final stage of the candidate selection includes the evaluation of the presented documents as well as the interview conducted by the Special Scientific Committee.

STAGE 2: Portfolio evaluation
The second stage of the candidate selection includes the evaluation of the submitted portfolios. Incomplete portfolios will not be evaluated.
The highest score of the portfolio evaluation is 40/100 points.

Candidates who do not provide a certificate of competence in a foreign language are examined in the English language by the Special Interinstitutional Committee. Τhe rest of the selected candidates as well as those who successfully complete the English language examination are then summoned for an interview with members of the Special Scientific Committee.
STAGE 3: Interview
The candidates’ interviews are conducted by members of the Special Scientific Committee in matters relevant to teaching and Special Education, research as well as general education, science and social interest. The interviews are evaluated separately by each member of the Committee. The highest score of the interview is 60/100 points.
The final score comprises:
a) The Portfolio evaluation score (40%) and
b) The Interview score (60%)
The final candidate selection is made after the evaluation of the documents presented in the Portfolio as well as on the Interview score with a maximum of 100 points.
